Complaint & whistleblowing

Speak up.
We will listen.

Eclats listens to complaints from all stakeholders, inside or outside the company. Reports are handled confidentially, you may remain anonymous, and the company commits to protecting sincere complainants and witnesses.

How to reach us

Six ways to report

Use whichever you trust most. All of them reach the company; none requires you to give your name.

Your protection

What happens to your identity

  1. 01 You may choose to remain anonymous. The policy states this plainly — giving your name is optional, and is only used so the company can report results back to you.
  2. 02 Identities and personal information of complainants and witnesses are held at a Strictly Confidential level under the company’s confidentiality and document security rules.
  3. 03 On completing a complaint you receive a registration number and a code number. These replace your real name and personal details throughout the investigation, and identify you when you contact the company about the case.
  4. 04 Complaints are processed with transparency, honesty and fairness, and the company commits to protecting sincere complainants and relevant witnesses.
What can be reported

Nine categories

The policy sets out the scope of complaints the whistleblower channel covers. If your concern touches any of these, it belongs here.

  1. 1.1 Any fraud
  2. 1.2 Money laundering, in any case
  3. 1.3 Bribes made with any stakeholder
  4. 1.4 Misconduct, legal breach, or other matters relating to business ethics
  5. 1.5 Human rights and labour rights — discrimination, sexual and non-sexual harassment, child labour in the company or its sub-contractors and suppliers, forced and compulsory labour including bonded labour and human trafficking, freedom of association and collective bargaining
  6. 1.6 Health and safety issues affecting employees and other related persons
  7. 1.7 Significant impacts to the environment
  8. 1.8 Undisclosed product information, including synthetic diamonds
  9. 1.9 Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) and World Diamond Council System of Warranties (SoW) matters

The policy explicitly extends to concerns affecting vulnerable groups, including children, persons with disabilities, women, minorities, migrant people, third-party contracted labour, indigenous people, local communities, LGBTQI+ persons, older persons and pregnant women.

The scope does not include matters where management has already given a final resolution, or matters filed in or already judged by a court.
